Domenica Gisella CALABRO

University of Messina (Italy)

Domenica Gisella CALABRO holds a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Messina. Her thesis investigated the Maori relationship with rugby. During her fieldwork in New Zealand, she was hosted by the School of Maori Studies at Victoria University of Wellington. Her research interests are now expanding to include Japanese contexts, focusing on Ainu issues and Japanese pop culture.
