Oscar  GARCIA ARANDA is an Art Historian at the University of Barcelona and currently studying an MA on Asia-Pacific Studies at Pompeu Fabra University. Interested in the academic field of manga and anime studies, his research is focused on the study of non-Japanese contents in manga and anime series, entailing the analysis of transcultural procedures, historical factors, commercial interests and different conventions related to specific genres and trends in Japanese popular culture industry.
