University Nicolaus Copernicus (Poland)
Joanna ZAREMBA-PENK is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń (Poland). During her studies Joanna was teaching art history of Japan at the faculty of fine arts and for Japanology Studies. Her main field of studies is iconography. In her research, deals mostly with identification and description of artists ideas and inspirations, pointing es-pecially unique interpretation of art and literature motifs in manga. Her thesis is titled “Iconography in manga”.
